Delete your account

This deletes your MealBudget account and everything stored with it. It cannot be undone, and we do not keep a copy.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in below, if you are not already signed in.
2. Press Delete my account.
3. Confirm when asked. That is the last step — it happens immediately.

You can also do this inside the app, under Account. If you cannot sign in, email hello@mealbudget.app from the address on the account and we will do it for you.

What gets deleted

Immediately, and permanently:

• Your email address and sign-in details
• Every saved week, its meals and its grocery list
• Recipes you created or imported, and any you shared
• Your household size, budget, dietary preferences and allergens
• Your staples, your saved ingredients and your recipe tags
• Your subscription record with us

What we keep, and why

• Anonymous usage records. Which steps were completed and how plans performed, with your account removed from them. They no longer refer to you and cannot be traced back.
• Reports you filed about someone else’s recipe, with your name removed. If deleting your account erased your reports, reporting a problem and then leaving would erase the complaint too.
• Shelf prices you contributed stay in the shared price pool, unlinked from you. They are facts about a shop, not about you.

There is no retention period on any of the above: what is deleted goes at once, and what is kept is already anonymous.

If you pay for MealBudget, cancel first

Deleting your account here does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Only you can do that, in your Play or App Store settings, and we have no way to do it for you. You can still delete your account without cancelling — but the subscription would keep billing, so cancel it first.
