Beef and Ricotta Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 9 oz lasagna noodles
- 24 oz jarred marinara sauce
- 2 cup ricotta cheese
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella
- 2 oz grated parmesan cheese
- 1 large eggs
- 1 yellow onions
- 3 clove garlic
- 2 tsp italian seasoning blend
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
Method
Heat the oven to 375F. Boil the lasagna noodles until just shy of tender and lay them flat.
Brown the beef with the diced onion in the olive oil. Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt, then stir in the marinara and simmer 10 minutes.
Mix the ricotta with the egg, the Parmesan, and a pinch of salt.
Spread a thin layer of sauce in a baking dish, then build layers: noodles, ricotta, meat sauce, mozzarella. Repeat until everything is used, ending with sauce and mozzarella.
Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes, then uncover and bake 15 minutes more until browned and bubbling.
Rest 15 minutes before cutting so the layers hold.
