Ingredients
- 1 refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 lb italian sausage links
- 14 oz pizza sauce
- 10 oz shredded mozzarella
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 yellow onions
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes(optional)
Method
Heat the oven to 475F. Oil a rimmed sheet pan generously.
Squeeze the sausage out of its casings and brown in a skillet over medium-high, breaking it into small pieces, 6 minutes. Drain.
Press and stretch the dough to fill the sheet pan, letting it rest a few minutes if it springs back.
Spread the pizza sauce to the edges, then scatter the mozzarella, sausage, sliced pepper, and onion.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes until the crust is browned underneath and the cheese is bubbling.
Sprinkle with oregano and red pepper flakes and cut into squares.
