Cheesy Spinach Calzone Pockets

Ingredients
- 1 refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella
- 10 oz frozen chopped spinach
- 2 oz grated parmesan cheese
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning blend
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 16 oz jarred marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Method
Heat the oven to 425F and line a sheet pan with parchment.
Thaw the spinach and squeeze it bone dry, then mix with the ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
Divide the dough into four pieces and stretch each into a rough circle.
Mound a quarter of the filling on one half of each circle, fold over, and crimp the edges tightly with a fork.
Brush with olive oil, cut two small vents in each top, and bake 20 to 22 minutes until deep golden.
Warm the marinara for dipping and let the calzones cool 5 minutes before serving.
