Turkey Meatball Pitas with Cucumber Yogurt

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
- 4 pita bread
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- 1 cucumber
- 3/8 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 4 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 lb roma tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Method
Heat the broiler with a rack 6 inches below and oil a sheet pan.
Mix the turkey with breadcrumbs, half the minced garlic, cumin, oregano, and salt. Roll into 20 small meatballs.
Broil 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, until browned and cooked through.
Grate the cucumber, squeeze out the water, and stir into the yogurt with the remaining garlic and a pinch of salt.
Warm the pitas briefly and split them open.
Fill each with meatballs, diced tomato, thin red onion, and a heavy spoonful of cucumber yogurt.
